Ready to get your hands in the clay? We will be meeting at Liggett Pottery for the handbuilding in clay part of the workshop.  You will be given 10 lbs of clay and I will be teaching you several different techniques that you can use to build simple raku forms.  I will provide all the tools, slips and space for you to experiment and explore an off-white raku clay and you can make 5 pieces during the workshop.  If it rains, we will move this to the rain date. For those student who know handbuilding techniques already, I will provide more complicated forms for them to build totems and boxes. Then for the firing we will meet out at Shirley's and my home in Creek County. Raku is a lot of fun and full of experimentation so, be ready for a great time!
